Norway minimum wage
Whether Norway has a single national/general statutory minimum wage. It does NOT. Wage floors exist only in specific sectors through allmenngjøring (generalised application of nationwide collective agreements) under the Allmenngjøringsloven, decided by the tripartite Tariffnemnda and enforced by Arbeidstilsynet. This series records the national null; sector rates are documented in notes and must NOT be served as a national floor.

What this value means
POSITIVE NULL, not an omission. Norway sets pay through collective bargaining, not a statutory national wage. The only legally binding minimum wages arise via 'allmenngjøring' — the Tariffnemnda (Tariff Board) declaring a nationwide collective agreement universally applicable to ALL workers in a defined industry under the Allmenngjøringsloven (lov om allmenngjøring av tariffavtaler mv., 1993). As of 2026 there are roughly ten allmenngjorte (generalised) sectors, including: construction/building sites, shipbuilding and ship repair, agriculture and horticulture, cleaning, fisheries processing, electricians, freight road transport (goods), passenger transport by tour bus, and hospitality (hotel, restaurant and catering). Each generalisation carries its own hourly minimum (e.g. skilled vs unskilled construction workers) set by a Tariffnemnda forskrift and revised when the underlying collective agreement is renegotiated (typically the biennial/annual tariff rounds); the generalisations are time-limited and lapse unless renewed. Do NOT lift any one sector's hourly figure and present it as a national minimum wage — there is no such thing. Workers outside the generalised sectors have no statutory wage floor and rely on any collective agreement their employer has signed. Authority for the null: Arbeidstilsynet, which supervises the generalised agreements. There is therefore no effective_from date for a national minimum wage.
