What this value means

TWO-TIER, and the split still applies: 1,088 EUR/month after six months' continuous employment with the same employer, and 979 EUR/month during the first six months - both from 2026-01-01, up 8.8% on the 2025 figures of 1,000 and 900 EUR. Cyprus had no national minimum wage at all before 2023-01-01, setting minima for only nine named occupations; this was its first. EXCLUDED SECTORS with their own frameworks: hotels, domestic work, agriculture and farming, and maritime and shipping - treat that list as non-exhaustive. The decree is stated to cover 2026 and 2027. Amounts corroborated across four sources; the Κ.Δ.Π. citation could not be obtained because Cypriot government hosts refuse TCP connections.
