What this value means

€14.99 gross per hour for employees aged 21 and over, in force from 1 July 2026 — so this July revision IS already in force on the confirmation date. Verified directly against the Staatscourant text and the Rijksoverheid rate table on 2026-07-20. Raw indexation percentage 1.854% (contractual wage development 3.882% less 2.028%); the communicated uplift versus the 1 January 2026 rate of €14.71 is 1.90% once rounding to whole cents is applied. SINCE 1 JANUARY 2024 THERE IS NO STATUTORY MONTHLY, WEEKLY OR DAILY MINIMUM WAGE — the Wet invoering minimumuurloon abolished them and made the hourly wage the sole statutory floor, so a full-time monthly figure is no longer a legal quantity. The regulation does publish a reference monthly amount of €2,337.00 gross ('referentiemaandloon'), used only for derived statutory calculations (e.g. benefit indexation); it is NOT a minimum monthly wage an employer may pay against. Beware third-party sites quoting a 'monthly minimum wage' of around €2,478 derived from a 38-hour week — that is an arithmetic construction, not a legal amount. Youth minima are fixed percentages of the adult rate and per 1 July 2026 are, as published: 20 yrs €11.99 (80%), 19 yrs €8.99 (60%), 18 yrs €7.50 (50%), 17 yrs €5.92 (39.5%), 16 yrs €5.17 (34.5%), 15 yrs €4.50 (30%). All six were confirmed against the official table, not computed. The floor applies from age 15. Revision cadence is fixed by statute at 1 January and 1 July each year. Holiday allowance (vakantiebijslag) of at least 8% is payable on top and is not included in these figures. This file covers the European Netherlands; the Caribbean Netherlands (Bonaire, Sint Eustatius, Saba) have their own separate minimum wage regime. Access note: rijksoverheid.nl publishes the amounts in a clean table; the binding instrument is the Staatscourant regulation cited, which is Dutch-language only.
