What this value means
Serbian statutory default interest on DINAR debts equals the NBS key policy rate plus 8 percentage points (Zakon o zateznoj kamati, Sl. glasnik RS 119/2012, čl. 3), applying to all monetary obligations, civil and commercial alike, with simple interest mandated by the same Act. FOREIGN-CURRENCY DEBTS use a different reference under čl. 4: the currency's own central-bank reference rate plus 8 points — for EUR-denominated debts that is the ECB main refinancing rate + 8pp (10.40% since 17 June 2026). Where the reference is published as a range, the Act takes the arithmetic mean of the bounds before adding the 8 points. The NBS publishes the official computed zatezna-kamata table at the cited URL (the friendly nbs.rs path 307-redirects there). Derived live from this API's policy-rate series.
