What this value means
1,481.88 EUR/month from 2026-01-01, a rise of 15.97% on the 2025 figure of 1,277.72 EUR and the first time the gross minimum wage clears 1,000 EUR net. Derived under ZMinP Art. 5: minimum living costs recalculated at 791.07 EUR give a base of 1,442.92 EUR, indexed by December 2025 annual CPI of 2.70%. Slovenia sets no statutory hourly minimum, and since 2020 bonuses and allowances are excluded from the minimum wage base. NOTE ON TIMING: the instrument is habitually published late and applied retroactively - the 2026 one appeared on 30 January 2026 - so expect a January window in which no value for the new year legally exists yet. NO STATUTORY HOURLY RATE EXISTS - do not synthesise one. ZMinP Article 2(2) defines the minimum wage as a MONTHLY figure for full-time work, and Article 2(4) gives part-time workers a pro-rata share; there is no hourly minimum in Slovenian law. The 2026 amount was set by 'Znesek minimalne place za leto 2026', Uradni list RS 6/2026 published 30 January 2026 (item 175, signed 22 January 2026), and it is a TWO-STEP calculation rather than simple indexation: a base redetermination to 1,442.92 EUR under Articles 3 and 4 following a change in the statutory minimum living costs, then indexation by the 2.70% December-2025 year-on-year national CPI under Articles 5 and 6, giving 1,481.88 EUR - up 204.16 EUR on the 2025 figure of 1,277.72. The statutory band in Article 3 is minimum living costs raised by between 20% and 40%, grossed up for the worker's taxes and social contributions, so it is not a naive 20-40% uplift on any published figure. Article 5 mandates the December-on-December CPI specifically, which is 2.70% for 2025, not the 2.40% average-annual rate - other Slovenian revalorisation clauses do not all use the same series, so this choice must not be reused without checking each one. Allowances set by law or collective agreement, individual-performance pay and company-performance pay all sit OUTSIDE the minimum wage and may not be counted towards it (Article 2(3), fully in force since 1 January 2020). The 2027 amount is not yet issued and will depend on the December 2026 CPI.
