What this value means
National CPI +3.6% y/y for June 2026 (+0.8% m/m); the Eurostat-harmonised HICP was +3.7% y/y (+0.5% m/m). Comparatives for June 2025 were 2.2% CPI and 2.5% HICP, making this the highest reading since March 2024, with housing and utilities running about 9.9% y/y. SERIES BREAK AT JANUARY 2026. SURS rebased the national CPI from average 2015 = 100 to average 2025 = 100 and moved from ECOICOP version 1 with twelve divisions to version 2 with thirteen, adding an information-and-communication division and a personal-care division. INDEX LEVELS ARE NOT COMPARABLE ACROSS 2025-12-31 and division codes changed, so any index-level series or division-code join spanning that date is silently corrupted; rates of change are unaffected. The June 2026 national index level is 104.27 on the new base. The harmonised HICP for the same month is 3.7% against this national figure of 3.6%, and the two are separate series. Slovenia publishes no flash estimate of its own - the flash HICP is Eurostat's. SURS releases the CPI at 10:30 on the last day of the reference month, so a month's figure does not exist until that day.
