What this value means
Reference month June 2026, released 9 July 2026. Держстат publishes the CPI as an INDEX, not as a percent change: the June 2026 value is 107,2 (to the corresponding month of the previous year), i.e. +7.2% y/y — this series serves the percent change. Month-on-month June 2026 was 99,9 (-0.1%, the first monthly fall of 2026); cumulative since December 2025, 105,7 (+5.7%). Core inflation ran at about 8.1% y/y in June 2026, above headline. Inflation is well above the NBU's 5% target but has come down from 12.9% y/y in January 2025 and 8.0% in December 2025; the NBU's January 2026 forecast has headline at 7.5% at end-2026. GEOGRAPHIC COVERAGE CAVEAT stated by Держстат on every release: the data exclude the territories temporarily occupied by the russian federation and parts of the territories where hostilities are or were taking place; price collection is done in a state-selected, regionally representative set of CITIES only — there is no rural price observation. Держстат also states that published data are not revised. Next release: July 2026 price indices, expected in the first half of August 2026.
